Gemma Cuartero

Originally from Barcelona (Spain), Gemma is responsible for the general administration of the Company.

Gemma graduated from the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona) in 2012, specializing in Contemporary Dance, and was then a member of Seeds, the Postgraduate Program of the Cobosmika Company (Girona) directed by Olga Cobos and Peter Mika. Gemma has worked with many national and international choreographers, including Claudi Bombardó, Sonia Rodríguez, Emilio Gutiérrez, Thomás Noone, Christine Hassid, Roberto Oliván (Enclave Movement Arts) and Laura Vilar. In addition, she has also participated in professional development workshops with Lali Ayguadé (Akram Khan Company), Iker Arrue (Ai Do Project), Adriana Pous (Dantzatz Konpainia), Maeva Berthelot (Hofesh Shechter Company) and Corine Lansalle, among others.

Between 2008 and 2012, she was part of the Young Pro-Dance Company (Barcelona) under the direction of Tatiana Yerovets and Griselda Marfil. Gemma has participated in many projects, including “Memòries Corporals” choreographed by Cesc Gelabert and “Moving Mountains”, choreographed by Jorge Jauregui (Última Vez – Wim Vandekeybus) and presented at Fidjhi’s Festival (Germany).

In 2016, she received 2nd prize in the Choreographic Competition of Sant Boi de Llobregat, for her solo work “Cerice”.

Alongside her work inside the AGITART Company as administrator and dancer, she continuous working as a freelance dance artist and teacher, while also completing her studies of Psychology at the University of Barcelona.
