Roger Fernàndez Cifuentes

Originally from Figueres (Spain), Roger is the founder and director of AGITART.

A graduate of the Institute del Teatre (Barcelona) and a former member of VERVE (the postgraduate company of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds), Roger has worked with a variety of international choreographers including Ben Wright, Frauke Requardt, Angus Balbernie, James Wilton, Matthew Robinson and Jessica Kennedy.

As an up-and-coming choreographer, Roger has been awarded various prizes for choreography including first prize in the Concurso Internacional de Dansa of Riba-roja, the Concurs Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona 2012, and the public prize at the Certamen Coreográfic of Sabadell. Since its formation, he has been creating works for Companyia AGITART including Life, ADaliN, Pandora and Sand, which have toured both nationally and internationally in Spain, Belgium and the UK. In 2015, he was selected to participate in a program for emerging choroegraphers, Exit Visa, at The Place, London.

Alongside his work as co-director, teacher, choreographer and programmer with AGITART, Roger continues to work professionally as a dancer and choreographer for other projects.
